The ACG Emerging Leaders Group invites our EL members to attend a tour of the state-of-the-art 1st Phorm facility and presentation by company President, Sal Frisella. 1st Phorm is a premium manufacturer and nationwide distributor of high-quality nutrition supplements and athletics apparel. The company is housed in a multi-purpose facility that includes corporate offices, a 222-seat education and training auditorium, private library, 16 fully integrated Zoom rooms, multi-cast podcast studio, and a 16,000 square-foot athletic facility with world class weight training room, turf training facility, batting cages and full-size NBA basketball court.

The tour will begin at 2:00PM and will be followed by a presentation and Q&A session. Light refreshments will be provided.

Emerging Leaders is an ACG St. Louis peer group of future business leaders in the St. Louis middle-market M&A community ages 40 or younger. Emerging Leaders is an effort to build a pipeline of younger members and identify the next generation of leaders in the chapter and in the business community by providing engaging networking opportunities and content-based programming.

Sal Frisella grew up on a gravel road in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri with his older brothers Jim and Andy and older sister Terry. He takes a lot of pride in his humble upbringings and credits several of the lessons he teaches today to the memories made on that farm or in his dad’s pickup truck. His life was built around loyalty, belief and a hell of a lot of hard work.

Growing up, Sal was an incredible multi-sport athlete. After attending high school at St. John Vianney, Sal continued on to have an extremely successful collegiate baseball career at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, followed by a run in minor league baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. To this day, Sal credits much of his success to the lessons he learned as an athlete.

Following a career-ending leg injury in 2006, the trajectory of Sal’s life changed dramatically. He began working for Johnson and Johnson where he sold medical devices. In 2010, Sal joined his brother Andy at 1st Phorm. The mission of 1st Phorm is to design high quality, research-backed products to solve problems that we all face while trying to improve our health, performance, and physique.


In addition to being President of 1st Phorm, Sal is the co-founder of a non-profit organization “30 for the Kids” which feeds, clothes, educates, and houses 46 orphans in Haiti. In addition to 30 for the Kids, Sal supports many other charities including Brace for Impact, Lift for Life and the Covering House. Sal is also a co-host of the top-ranked podcast RealAF with Andy Frisella and has been featured on several other entrepreneurial podcasts such as The Intro with Matt DellaValle.

Sal is a devoted husband to his beautiful and successful wife, Racquel. Together, Sal and Racquel have a son, Enzo, and two twin girls, Isabella and Francesca, who are their pride and joy. When Sal isn’t at the office, he can often be found pitching baseballs to his son or spending time with his family at their farm.
