Join ACG St. Louis back at the Ritz on Friday, January 19th for the Private Equity Perspectives Breakfast.  This year's panel discussion will focus on the PE and M&A landscape headed into 2024 and be moderated by David Lazar, Managing Director, Financial Sponsors at STIFEL.  Panelists include: Jack Senneff, Managing Director at Thompson Street Capital Partners; Jessica Ginsberg, Managing Director, Business Development at LFM Capital; and Mark Jones, Partner at River Associates.

David is a senior member of Stifel’s Financial Sponsors Coverage Group.  He joined the firm in 2007 through Stifel’s acquisition of Ryan, Beck & Co.  . Prior to that David managed Boenning & Scattergood’s (now Janney) investment banking group. He previously served as Co-Head of Berwind’s investment bank and was a member of the company’s Management and Opinion Committees. Prior to Berwind, David was President of Ryan Beck & Co./Mid-Atlantic, specializing in financial services industry.

David’s responsibilities include advising public and privately owned companies on a wide range of alternatives. He is also responsible for managing the entire transaction process from deal origination to transaction execution.

David holds a Master’s Degree from The College of William & Mary and a B.S. from Duke University.

Mark Jones joined River Associates in 1995 and has been a Partner since 2000. Mark served on the Global Board of Directors of the AGC from 2005-2010 and was Chairman of ACG Intergrowth 2008. Before joining River Associates, Mark served as Vice President of Corporate Lending with SouthTrust Bank in Birmingham from 1988 to 1995.

Founded in 1989, River Associates has built a reputation for integrity and acumen with all its constituencies: limited partners, investment referral sources, senior & mezzanine debt partners, and portfolio company management teams. With 116 transactions over the past 34+ years, the “Investments with Management” philosophy effectively captures the spirit of partnership which guides River’s actions in all aspects of business. The firm is currently investing River VIII, LP with $345 million in committed capital.

Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt and an M.B.A. from Samford University

Managing Director

Jack Senneff serves as a Managing Director at Thompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis-based private equity firm focused on investing in founder-led middle market businesses in the Life Sciences & Healthcare, Software & Technology and Business & Consumer Services sectors.  He co-leads the firm’s Deal Origination and Portfolio Support teams.  Prior to joining Thompson Street, Jack served in the United States Army as an Infantry officer in Ranger, Airborne, and Mechanized units.  Jack is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned his MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.

Jessica Ginsberg

Managing Director

Jessica is a Managing Director at LFM Capital and responsible for LFM’s business development activities, including overseeing the firm's direct sourcing and outreach to intermediaries. She brings to the Firm over 15 years of private equity, banking and investment management experience, having served in a variety of roles that include business development, transaction diligence, credit analysis and investor communications.  Prior to LFM, Jessica. She previously served as a Vice President at Essex Investment Management where she focused on small market-cap technology stocks and earlier held roles as an Associate at Pamlico Capital (f/k/a Wachovia Capital Partners) and Willis Stein & Partners, where she focused on middle market private equity investments.

Jessica received her BS, magna cum laude, in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University.
