Operating Partner and President

Ben Hillman is Operating Partner at Lewis & Clark Capital and President of Hi-Pointe Drive-In and Taco Buddha, two fast casual concepts he operate under the Gastronauts Food Group in St. Louis. Before that, he spent time in the trenches at high-growth brands Smashburger and MOD Pizza, where he developed a deep appreciation for what it takes to scale a restaurant concept.

At Lewis & Clark Capital, Ben is focused on building an emerging restaurant platform aimed at being the first institutional capital partner for founder-led restaurant concepts — helping operators who have built something real take the next step toward regional and national scale. It's work he finds meaningful, sitting at the intersection of two things he cares about: great food and helping good people build great businesses. Ben is also an active member of YPO and serves on the board of The Little Bit Foundation.
