Mr. Hoagland joined Anderson Hoagland in 1996.  He has a B.A. in Economics (with honors and distinction) from Stanford University (1987, Phi Beta Kappa) and an M.T.A., also from Stanford University (1993).  Mr. Hoagland completed the Finance Core at the Stanford Graduate School of Business during his undergraduate tenure. 

Mr. Hoagland currently sits on the Investment Committee of the Presbyterian Healthcare System, providing advice and governance on a $4 billion pool of corporate, pension and foundation assets.

From 1987 until 1992, Mr. Hoagland served as a management consultant in the San Francisco office of Bain & Company.  Project activities spanned many corporate functions, including equity valuation, plant floor operations, market forecasting, executive compensation, customer segmentation, business unit reorganization, and inventory management. 

During 1992, Mr. Hoagland worked in Warsaw, Poland, where he was employed by Company Assistance Limited, a firm consulting to state enterprises preparing for privatization. 

Mr. Hoagland has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1999.
