ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) has been dominating the news headlines this year. Big players like Amazon raised a $1 billion sustainable bond for climate and social causes in May.  Other players, including privately held companies, are also jumping to partake in the ESG theme.  These initiatives are showing no signs of slowing down.  ESG topics on senior executives minds include company considerations around sustainability, diversity, human capital, socioeconomic advancement, pollution prevention and control (to name a few).

Our panel discussion will highlight:

  • Nick Popielski from Spire, a company recognized by Newsweek as one of “America’s Most Responsible Companies”.  Nick will speak to Spire’s commitment to be carbon neutral by midcentury, and what is required to report to shareholders on ESG as a public entity.
  • Brandon Butler from Roeslein Alternative Energy who will speak to their joint venture with Smithfield Foods called Monarch Bioenergy, which is a company focused on capture methane from hog manure to produce renewable natural gas.
  • Danny Coale from PNC’s Sustainable Finance Debt Capital Markets division who works in an advisory capacity for PNC’s clients and prospects to provide customized solutions that alight with client ESG goals and aspirations.  He will speak to trends in sustainable investing (green bonds, sustainability linked loans and other types of “green” or “social” financing).
  • Marty Moore from Central States Water Resources will be the moderator for the discussion.  Moore is the Chief Financial Officer at Central States Water Resources, a private-equity owned company, focused on the acquisition, improvement and operations of investor-owned water and wastewater utilities throughout the U.S.  CSWR is one of the top 15 IOUs and with more than 75 acquisitions this year, growing over 100% per year.

This event will be hybrid.  We will use the OWL technology for virtual participants.  In-person attendees will have networking prior to the presentation.
