Khalia Collier

St. Louis CITY SC
Vice President of Community Relations

Entrepreneur. Pioneer. Trailblazer. Khalia Collier wears many hats as the owner of The St. Louis Surge and vice president for the St. Louis City SC, MLS expansion team. At just 23 years old, she took on the challenge of building the first sustainable women’s basketball franchise in the Gateway City. A decade and two national championships later, The Surge has changed the game by redefining winning on and off the court playing in the Global Women’s Basketball Association (GWBA). The team is now preparing to return to the Field House Athletic Complex at Washington University for their 10th season. A St. Louis native, Collier has taken on the task of unifying communities through the power of sport. For Collier civic leadership is all about being connected through personal community service, serving on several boards and by giving back to the next generation and providing a platform for women’s leadership. It was a natural transition to accept the opportunity to make history once again leading community relations for the St. Louis City SC. Within her role, Collier is focused on helping the team deliver its promise to be an exceptional club and neighbor.

Collier has always loved sports and the business of the game. She started playing at the age of five and continued into her high school and collegiate career. A Division I recruit in high school, she went on to play at Columbia College in Columbia, MO, and Missouri Baptist University. In 2010, Collier obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from MBU.

She has received numerous honors, including the St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 under 30 award, Power 100 award, Glamour’s Missouri Woman of the Year award, the prestigious Jack Buck Award for community impact, and many others. Collier is frequently invited to deliver keynote addresses and share her success story.
