Why did you join ACG WI NextGen?
ACG is well known for having a strong network of professionals and events so, after moving back to Milwaukee in 2019, I joined ACG NextGen to connect with emerging professionals in M&A and to learn from other’s experiences.

How has NextGen helped you in your career?
NextGen has provided strong, relevant content and networking opportunities allowing me to create meaningful, long-term relationships with others in the M&A community.

What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
In many ways, the pandemic has created unexpected disruption in businesses and in our everyday lives. As a result, most have realized the importance of using technology to improve the effectiveness of processes, communications, and quality of life. However, one of the more significant lessons is the importance of people. Managing through the constant change, building relationships, creating a positive company culture, and solving for unforeseen obstacles, human connection will always be a critical aspect of business and life.

What do you think are the biggest challenges your industry will face in the next 5 years, and what actions is your business taking to position it for success in the future?
Over the next five years, Private Equity will continue to face pressure to deliver strong returns despite increased competition as more funds are allocated in the asset class.

What do you do for fun?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, getting outdoors, and attending Marquette basketball games.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I have always enjoyed learning new things. Right now, I would love to learn how to scuba dive.

What is the best book you have read this past year?
I enjoy a variety of podcasts and books ranging from beach reads to business books. The two books I am currently reading are: “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah and “Richer, Wiser, Happier: How the World’s Greatest Investors Win in Markets and Life” by William Green.
