Why did you join ACG WI NextGen?
As someone looking to grow their network, and build relevant and meaningful business relationships, ACG WI was a nice fit.

How has NextGen helped you in your career?
The networking within ACG has been extremely beneficial. Further, the content provided both at the ACG and NextGen levels is well done and topical.

What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
During the pandemic, we, like many others, adapted our processes and leaned on new technologies (e.g., remote work, video conferencing, drones). Now, approaching the second anniversary of the early days of the pandemic, many of these new technologies and processes are part of our normal course as we have realized a variety of benefits. I think we are still getting our arms around what this all means for the longer term but there is no question that the pandemic forced us all to be flexible and try new things, some of which pushed us outside of our comfort zone.

What do you do for fun?
We have a young family, so I spend the bulk of my free time hanging with them. I like to stay active – spending time outdoors running, hiking, biking, snowboarding. I also really enjoy seeing live music – Milwaukee has a number of terrific venues.

What is the best book you have read this past year?
I enjoy markets and finance related literature, and the last few years I’ve actually consumed more podcasts than books. A couple podcasts I’ve enjoyed the last couple years include “Value Investing with Legends” by Columbia Business School, and “How I Built This with Guy Raz” by NPR. A lot of accomplished investors & entrepreneurs are featured and interesting stories shared.
