Why did you join ACG WI NextGen?
Being early in my career, I was looking for a way to grow my network in Milwaukee. I knew the more experienced professionals had established networks, so I wanted to be a part of a group with people closer to my age. ACG NextGen seemed like the perfect fit.

How has NextGen helped you in your career?
It has given me the opportunity to meet many other young professionals who share the same goals as myself. We are all looking to establish ourselves and grow our business in the southeastern Wisconsin market.

What has your NextGen membership meant to you?
When you’re first entering the business world there are so many uncertainties regarding the people you will meet and work with. It has been very satisfying to know this NextGen group has so many great people apart of it who share the same motivations as me.

What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
The pandemic definitely put a strain on customer facing industries like banking. We were forced to utilize new technology that allowed us to close loans virtually and meet with customers virtually. It is great to get in front of customers, but I think for convenience a lot of that technology will stick around.

What do you think are the biggest challenges your industry will face in the next 5 years, and what actions is your business taking to position it for success in the future?
The current concerns for the banking industry are how these supply chain and inflationary issues are affecting our customers. These issues may take a couple years to resolve, and banks need to be prepared for that. Something I am personally curious about is the rise of Fintech. These firms are offering flexible products to consumers that will create competition amongst your standard commercial banks. The best action PyraMax Bank has taken to poise ourselves for success is we’ve hired experienced and motivated employees.

What do you do for fun?
Outside of work you can usually find me at the gym, the golf course, or supporting my Wisconsin Badgers. (Picture below of my 2020 Rose Bowl trip.)

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Believe it or not, I am a huge UFC fan, so I’ve always wanted to learn mixed martial arts.
