This is the third of a four part web-series in collaboration with ACG Austin/San Antonio, ACG San Francisco and ACG Silicon Valley: Rising Tech Stars

In compliance and gov tech HL is focused on archiving, records management, information governance, data remediation and integrity, regulatory compliance, public records and FOIA data management.

Mr. Smith is Director and Chief Operating Officer of Nuvve and is directly responsible for managing the successful development, deployment and commercialization of Nuvve’s technologies, as well as supporting global regulatory compliance efforts. Previously (in 2019) he also served as a board member of DREEV, a joint venture between EDF and Nuvve.  Mr. Smith was a founding investor in Nuvve and has served on its Board of Directors since 2010 and joined Nuvve in 2017 as its Chief Administrative Officer. 

Mr. Smith holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering/Technology from Maine Maritime Academy. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and held the Chartered Investment Counselor certification.

He focuses on various industries including manufacturing and distribution, technology, retail and restaurants.
