We're so excited to welcome you back! This will be our FIRST in-person regular monthly lunch in Austin in a year & a half and our featured speaker, Robert Alvarez, CFO at BigCommerce, will present the IPO process for BigCommerce.

Online registration is now closed. Walk-ins might be accommodated if space allows, based on no-shows, at the following rates: ACG Member price @ $55., Non-Member price @ $90. This lunch is sponsored by Donnelley Financial Solutions.  
 
This lunch will take place at The UT Club, located on the East side of DKR Memorial Stadium on the UT campus (2108 Robert Dedman Drive, Austin 78712). We recommend parking in the Manor garage across from the UT Club, but parking is not included in the lunch registration price.
 
COVID-19 Procedures:
•  Masks are optional, however ACG recommends you follow CDC and local guidelines which state if you are not fully vaccinated, masks should be worn when you are not eating or drinking.
•  We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, remain vigilant and strictly adhere to all recommended cautionary measures, protocols and guidelines from various health organizations and local authorities, in an
effort to ensure our guests remain in a safe and healthy environment.   We will make operational changes and consider additional precautionary measures as necessary.

ACG Austin/San Antonio reserves the right to fill open seats with walk-in registrants at the respective event venues once the networking period has passed and the official event programming has begun. In these instances ACG Austin/San Antonio will work to accommodate the attendee, and if not able to do so to the attendee's satisfaction, ACG Austin/San Antonio will refund their registration fee.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgasa@acg.org by 5PM, Oct. 5th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5PM on Oct. 4th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.

As Chief Financial Officer, Robert Alvarez brings extensive experience in scaling and growing businesses, building passionate teams, fundraising, strategic planning, and business transactions, working with both public and privately held high growth technology companies.

Since joining BigCommerce in 2011, Robert has been instrumental in transforming BigCommerce from a small business solution to a comprehensive, industry-leading ecommerce platform for mid-market retailers, large enterprise segments, and businesses of all sizes across 150 countries.

Overseeing all facets of financial and operational strategy, Robert has guided BigCommerce through its IPO, 1st follow-on offering and private growth financing rounds with tier 1 institutional investors including General Catalyst, Revolution Growth, SoftBank, GGV Capital and Goldman Sachs.

Prior to BigCommerce, he led four high-growth, venture-backed startups through their exits, three of which were successfully acquired by large strategic public companies (Intel, Dell and RR Donnelley), with the fourth going public and reaching a market cap of more than $4 billion post IPO.

Robert has been recognized by Austin Business Journal as a 3X CFO of the Year, most recently in 2021 in the publc company category and in 2013 in the private company category for his exemplary leadership at BigCommerce, as well as in 2011 while serving as CFO at LibreDigital.

During his tenure at BigCommerce, the company has also received accolades as a desirable workplace, winning awards such as Austin-American Statesman’s “Top Workplaces,” San Francisco Bay Area’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” and Great Place to Work’s “Best Places to Work in Australia.”

Robert serves as a Board Member for AffiniPay, Eterneva and the Austin Technology Counsel, an Advisory Board Member for Tiff’s Treats, and lives with his wife and three children in Austin, Texas.
