This event will take place @ the Plaza Club in the Frost Bank building @ 100 W. Houston St. Suite 2100 in San Antonio. 
Complimentary self-parking for this event is available in the parking garage of the Frost Bank building.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgcentraltexas@acg.org by 5pm, Nov. 27th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5pm on Nov. 27th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.

USAISR Research and Development Transition Manager Chief, Clinical Decision Support and Automation Research Branch
Dr. Jose Salinas is the chief of the Clinical Decision Support and Automation Research Branch and acting Product Transition Manager at the US Army Institute of Surgical Research, Fort Sam Houston, TX. In his research role, he is currently focusing on development of new clinical decision support technologies and solutions to improve outcomes of military combat casualties across all echelons of care. This includes the development of novel information technology and engineering products that provide users with new approaches to communicate and/or automate different diagnoses and treatments that are normally performed through manual means. Additionally, the program includes research and development projects in the use of information technology for enhanced information dashboards and open/closed loop devices for field use. Additionally, Dr. Salinas manages multiple research efforts in digital signal processing algorithms for enhanced diagnosis of combat casualties including the use of advanced machine learning techniques for better physiologic models of trauma injuries. His current program currently includes over 10 full time intramural researchers working at the institute, in addition to, multiple extramural efforts with universities and medical devices companies. As part of this transition management position, Dr. Salinas is coordinating multiple research projects as they move into materiel or knowledge products for use in the field. This includes development of plans, schedules, and execution timelines for moving research ideas and efforts into fieldable products for use by military personnel during deployment.
 
The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research is one of six research laboratories within the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command of the U.S. Army Medicine Command. The Institute is the Army's lead research laboratory for improving the care of combat casualties. The mission of the Institute is to "Optimize Combat Casualty Care".
The USAISR does this through two unique missions:
(1) To provide requirements driven innovations in combat casualty care to advance medical care for injured service members.
(2) As the only Burn Center in the DoD provide state of the art burn, trauma and critical care to injured war fighters and DoD beneficiaries around the world.
