Ramsey W. Goodrich is a Managing Partner at Carter Morse & Goodrich and brings more than 25 years of experience advising owners and executives of family held and founder led middle market companies on strategies to maximize shareholder value through M&A and capital transactions. Over the course of his career, Mr. Goodrich has advised on more than 100 transactions totaling more than $3.5 billion in value.

Outside of the office, Mr. Goodrich is the current Chairman of the Exit Planning Exchange – TriState Region (2016 – Present), President of XPX Connecticut (XPX-CT) chapter (2014 – 2016) and Chairman Emeritus (2012 – Present) and Past President (2005-2011) of the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG-CT). He was also a Global Board Member for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG Global – 2013-2016) where he was involved with a major strategic planning effort. He is an active speaker on M&A and Capital transactions, having given dozens of presentations to corporations, associations and trade organizations and is a regular speaker at industry conferences around the country.

Prior to joining Carter Morse & Goodrich more than a decade ago, Mr. Goodrich was a Managing Director of Spinnaker Group Capital Advisors LLC after being a Vice President of E&Y Corporate Finance, an affiliate of Ernst & Young, in their M&A and capital markets where he co-founded the financial sponsors group. During his career, he has also held various financial advisory positions at Banque Paribas and Chase Manhattan Bank (nka JP Morgan Chase).

Mr. Goodrich received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, triple majoring in Finance, International Business and Management, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University. He also completed MBA graduate studies in international business administration at the Institut Superieur des Affaires (ISA) at L'Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in France. Mr. Goodrich holds his FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79, 82 and 99 securities licenses.

He serves on the Board of the Fairfield Theatre Company and is also an active volunteer with the Connecticut Challenge (cancer survivorship), Fairfield Youth Lacrosse (board member and head coach) and Okemo Mountain Alpine Racing Association.

Christina Pai joined Fort Point Capital in 2011 as a Vice President and was promoted to Partner in 2015. Previously, Christina was a Principal at Swift River Investments where she was responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing lower middle market buyouts, and served on the board of directors of several portfolio companies. Prior to joining Swift River Investments, Christina was an Associate at FdG Associates, a middle market private equity firm, where she participated in a number of platform investments and worked with portfolio companies to develop growth strategies and execute add-on acquisitions. Previously, she worked at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance in the consumer products and healthcare sectors. Christina is a graduate of Dartmouth College. She enjoys all variety of travel and reading and is a Boston sports enthusiast.

Mr. Surrette began his career in public accounting in 1999 and joined KLR in 2001. Mr. Surrette chairs the firm’s Private Equity and Transaction Services Group and is also Chair of the firm’s Renewable Energy Services Group. He works closely with private equity and venture capital firms in meeting both back office and portfolio company needs. He is experienced in assisting clients in evaluating investment opportunities as well as providing hands on experience during the pre and post transaction process. He has a wide range of audit and consulting experience with clients in a variety of industries including employee benefit plans, healthcare, private equity and venture capital, renewable energy, technology and technology-enabled service companies, manufacturing, distribution, and forensic accounting. He has also spent a significant amount of time assisting clients in in the evaluation of internal controls and on forensic accounting engagements.

Christopher is currently the Market Executive for Southern New England, leading a team of Bankers in Worcester, Boston and Providence. His team provides credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to Middle Market clients in the region. Chase’s local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, provides clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service. Previously, Christopher worked in various roles at JP Morgan Chase. Prior to Chase, Christopher worked at Brown Brothers Harriman. Roles included Mutual Fund Accounting, Private Account Services, and Commercial Banking. Christopher graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA with a BA in Economics. He received his MBA from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. He is active in the local community and currently serves as a Trustee and Treasurer for the Providence Public Library. He is also a Founding Board Member of Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leaders Council, and active Board Member for FountainHeadRI.

He serves as general corporate counsel to a number of privately held, mid-market businesses. He is a frequent speaker and writer on contemporary middle-market strategies for companies.

Mike is recognized annually by key ranking organizations including Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Guide for Business, among others. Most recently, he was recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” — for the fifth time —  for Mergers and Acquisition Law. Previously, he was named “Lawyer of the Year” for the practice areas of Closely-Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, and Corporate Law.
