Tara Levine

Global CPG Leader & Board Member

Tara Levine is a global business leader and board member with a 20- year track record of business reinvention. She is a results-oriented executive who has led global and North American brands from $2B to $200M, achieving top-line growth and bottom-line improvement. Tara creates strategic, consumer-first plans to differentiate brands at growth inflection points, leading cross-functional teams and delivering breakthrough innovation and marketing.

Tara was most recently the GM, North America & Vice President at Converse, a subsidiary of Nike, Inc. She oversaw an $800M business, leading a 250+ cross-functional team through a business turnaround, delivering significant revenue improvement within 12 months. She identified a path for sustainable growth across Converse’s retail marketplace, driving focus against direct-to-consumer channels, hyperlocal marketing campaigns and cross-category innovation.

Ms. Levine previously served in multiple leadership roles at Ocean Spray for 11 years, including as Vice President of Strategy and M&A, in which she also oversaw e-commerce and global health efforts. She led Ocean Spray’s $200M Europe/Middle East/Africa business for six years based in London, delivering a business turnaround by diversifying categories, channels and markets to deliver long term growth. This business transformation served as the model for Ocean Spray’s global strategy to reposition the brand to reflect changing consumer and retail demands. Tara joined Ocean Spray as Director of Brand Marketing for the $2B North American business, and drove double-digit growth through innovation and base business expansion.

Tara also served in leading management and marketing roles at P&G/Gillette. She managed global markets for the Gillette male shaving preparations business, pioneering new Gillette branding, and also oversaw Gillette’s Right Guard business in North America and launched the Oral-B / Disney Stages toothbrush line.

She was the founding Director of Research and Advisory Services at Catalyst, a research and consulting think tank promoting the advancement of women in business. She advised Fortune 500 corporations and firms, spoke widely on women’s advancement, and wrote the book, “Creating Women’s Networks.”

Tara is currently a board member for Repsly, a leading B2B retail execution software company, and Grapery, an innovative California premium grape grower and brand. She also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum, a preeminent association of women leaders.

Ms. Levine earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Brown University. She resides in Dover, with her husband Jim and two sons.
