History

ACG Kentucky was formed in 2008, establishing a chapter to serve Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana.  Our goal is to promote middle-market business growth by attracting private equity capital sources to the region and facilitating active merger and acquisition deal making.

Louisville has a well established corporate community, a professional support infrastructure and a long tradition of supporting corporate growth. Known for its bourbon and racing industries, Louisville is located at the epicenter of a vibrant region that includes Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Nashville. Greater Louisville continues to develop as an economic center, with a robust and growing private equity community comprised of local and high profile national private equity firms.

ACG Kentucky’s organizational leadership consists of senior leaders of prominent private equity firms, investment banks, commercial banks, business services professionals, and private equity-backed growth businesses. We continue to build membership by offering exceptional events featuring industry leading speakers and high quality networking opportunities in a modern conference center environment.

Valuable networking opportunities through ACG Kentucky include:

  • Breakfast or lunch meetings, typically held on the second Tuesday of the month from February through June and September through November.
  • The annual golf outing at PGA's prestigious Valhalla Golf Club. Members and guests network in a social setting, with a portion of proceeds donated to a deserving local charity.
  • The annual Capital Connection, scheduled to be held in Louisville in 2017. Co-hosted with the Tennessee ACG chapter, Capital Connection attracts private equity from around the nation.
  • Periodic member-only social gatherings provide ways to meet other members and learn about their roles in the achievement of corporate growth.
