Overview

Body

Bourbon and beyond!  Grissan Renewable Energy's U.S. leadership explains how its $62 million Kentucky clean energy manufacturing facility will convert spent mash from distilleries into sustainable, renewable natural gas and fertilizer. Grissan is applying the technology it uses in Europe with the Scotch whisky industry, in which 4 million tons of distillery residue generates energy to heat nearly 150,000 homes and remove 300,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. US General Manager Matt Yarger discusses the move into Kentucky and the opportunities ahead.
