Jim McGuire

TEN20 Craft Brewing

Louisville-area native, Jim McGuire, co-founded TEN20 Craft Brewery in 2019 with John Flodder and Luke Scoggin, opening the doors for the first time in mid-October of 2020. An experienced and successful leader in education and business, Jim is passionate about building purpose-driven, people-first organizations and that the inclusion of these ingredients are critical for strong financial success and outcomes. He has deep experience in strategic planning/execution, board governance, organizational evaluation, financial operations, and talent development. In addition to leading TEN20, Jim also serves as a senior-level administrator at one of the top independent schools in the region. Whether in schools or business, Jim has combined a tireless work ethic and an innovative approach to challenges and opportunities. Regardless of the setting or the work, relationships have always been and will continue to be at the very center of Jim’s efforts and approach.

Larry Horwitz

Head of Brewing

Larry Horwitz joined the TEN20 team as Head of Brewing Operations in the summer of 2019. He is an experienced head of brewing with over 29 years of designing, building, managing, and leading production operations in several breweries across the United States. He has won over 21 medals for his beer recipes, he is an instructor at the American Brewer’s Guild, and he is a board member on the National Brewer’s Association where he also serves as the co-chair of the Technical Committee responsible for establishing standards and best practices for quality, safety, sustainability, supply chain, draft beer quality, and engineering for the craft beer industry. Additionally, he was recently voted onto the Kentucky Guild of Brewers.
