LOUISVILLE (September 3, 2020)  - Matt Berrian, director at BKD CPAs & Advisors in Louisville, is the new president of ACG Kentucky, the local chapter of an association comprised of professionals focused on building and growing middle-market companies.

Berrian, who joined the chapter’s board of directors in 2018, succeeds outgoing president Brad Smith, the managing partner for MCM CPAs and Advisors. Smith continues to serve as ACG Kentucky’s treasurer, and will chair the 2021 Mid South Capital Connection event co-hosted by the Kentucky and Tennessee chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead ACG Kentucky and our focus on middle market corporate growth,” Berrian said. “In these challenging times, it’s important to build on our chapter’s strengths while seeking new voices and perspectives to help shape our future -- as well as our Kentucky and Southern Indiana economies.”

Matt is a member of BKD’s National Commercial Services Group, providing audit and consulting services for closely held and private equity-backed companies. He is also the Louisville commercial services team leader for assurance services. His experience includes audits, reviews, compilations and other assurance services, employee benefit plan audits and mergers and acquisitions. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts, Berrian joined BKD in 2007.
