What regional 2020 deal created significant value?

LOUISVILLE (February 25, 2021) - What deal during 2020 would you choose as Louisville's most impactful? This is your chance to voice your choice for ACG Kentucky Deal of the Year.
Annually, ACG Kentucky honors a company and its executives for a transformative merger, acquisition or capital markets deal that closed during the previous fiscal year. A selection committee comprised of M&A professionals, bankers and dealmakers reviews the nominations and independent research, judges the impact of each transaction and chooses the finalists.
The transaction must have closed during calendar year 2020 to be considered.
A nomination form is available online (click here). The nomination deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 4.
The company executives are honored in April, at which they discuss the strategies, timelines and benefits of the deals at a ceremony with the M&A community, investors and ACG members.
The reigning Deal of the Year recipient is D.D. Williamson & Co., Inc. Led by CEO Ted Nixon, DDW acquired DuPont’s Natural Colors Business in 2019, expanding its reach. DDW products are used to color more than 2 billion servings of foods and beverages globally every day. Rabbit Hole Distillery's partnership with Pernod Ricard, and Accumen's acquisition of 3DR Labs were finalists.
Past honorees include Louisville-based 21c Museum Hotels’ acquisition by Paris, France-based AccorHotels, Blue Equity's acquisition of Liquor Barn, Weller Equity Partners' investment in KFI Furniture was the top deal, and Bacardi's acquisition of Angel's Envy.
The Deal of the Year underscores ACG's focus on corporate growth and the professional ecosystem that helps executives orchestrate these deals - among them, advisors representing private equity, investment banking, finance, accounting, legal, and risk management, among others.
