Steven Moon joined Duff & Phelps in 2000. He is a managing director in the firm’s Los Angeles Mergers and Acquisitions practice, focusing on Aerospace, Defense and Industrials M&A and corporate finance mandates.


Steve has over 18 years of M&A and corporate finance experience. He has completed a range of engagements including mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity financings, strategic alternative reviews and fairness and solvency opinions on behalf of private equity firms, public corporations and private company clients.


His recent transactions include: the sale of Mettis Aerospace, a portfolio company of Saints Chamonix Private Equity, to Stirling Square Capital; the divestiture of HITCO Carbon Composites from SGL Carbon SE to Avcorp Industries; the sale of Universal Turbine Parts, a portfolio company of Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison, to ICV Capital; the sale of SOS Metals Group to Precision Castparts Corp.; the sale of Trans World Alloys to Precision Castparts Corp.; the spin-off of L-3 Communications’ government services unit, Engility; and the sale of Semco Instruments to TransDigm Group.

Bill Webster is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Corporate Growth – Los Angeles.  ACG LA is a 650 member chapter of the ACG Global community of middle market M&A dealmakers and business leaders who are focused on driving business growth.  Webster is tasked with delivering thought-provoking, knowledge-based events and networking opportunities to help members stay abreast of current issues relating to corporate growth and to stay connected with their peers.  Under his leadership, ACG Los Angeles was named Large Chapter of the Year, in 2014, by the ACG Global organization.

Young Presidents’ Organization

Prior to joining ACG LA, Bill served as the Executive Director of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO).  Bill was tasked with communicating the value of the recently merged organization and to help craft a common culture.  As a long-time member of both the WPO and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), he worked with the YPO-WPO International board, the WPO board and regional and chapter leadership to advance the mission of the organization and strengthen the value it provides to members worldwide.

Adam Abramowitz

Adam has more than 15 years of investment banking experience in the middle market. He joined Intrepid as Vice President and Founding Principal in 2010, after nearly a decade of focusing on middle-market mergers and acquisitions at Barrington Associates and Wells Fargo Securities. Adam has executed transactions involving private and public companies in a broad variety of industries, including consumer products, business services, healthcare and industrial manufacturing.

In addition to executing transactions, he’s actively involved in the management, growth and development of the firm.

Prior to joining Citi, Tracy served as the Institutional Escrow Services Specialist for the Corporate and Investment Bank at J.P. Morgan where she led the business development and sales initiatives for 9 states across Western US. Tracy also spent time within the transaction opinions practice of Duff & Phelps. Tracy holds a B.A. from UCSB and MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.

Damon Frier is a partner in the Corporate Tax practice of Grant Thornton’s Los Angeles office. With more than 20 years of public accounting experience, Frier advises businesses on various tax matters, including corporate and partnership tax issues, tax matters associated with M&As, accounting method planning, inventory issues, tax return and provision assistance, federal and state tax credit reviews, and federal and state audit defense. He chairs Grant Thornton’s private equity initiative for the Southern California offices. Frier has experience serving clients in a variety of industries, including consumer products, media and entertainment, service, and technology.

Paul Gurrola

Paul Gurrola is a Director of Business Development within the Valuation Advisory group. Paul is responsible for developing relationships with finance executives of public and private companies and private equity firms, managing client engagements, working with trusted advisors and continuing to build the Stout brand in the western United States.

Paul brings over 20 years of experience working with public and private companies on engagements that include merger and acquisition services, tax and consulting projects, and valuations for purposes of commercial and intellectual property disputes.

Prior to joining Stout, Paul was a Director at the national accounting firm of BDO USA where he was in charge of their Los Angeles business development efforts, including BDO’s West Coast private equity initiative.

 

Mark Greenfield

Mark S. Greenfield focuses his practice on corporate transactions. He concentrates in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity;  venture capital;  public offerings and private placements; syndications; corporate formations; corporate reorganizations; corporate governance and general corporate counseling—outside general counsel.

Mark represents clients in a broad range of industries including energy, technology, biotechnology, software, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, gaming, hospitality, media and entertainment, and financial services. He also regularly provides expert testimony in the areas of corporate governance and healthcare, and he has served on numerous corporate boards, including audit committee assignments.

 

Christopher Hebble

Mr. Hebble is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Markets Group. His emphasis is on raising both debt and equity capital for restructurings, refinancing, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and growth capital initiatives. In addition, Mr. Hebble advises companies on an extensive number of capital structure issues. He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Prior to rejoining Houlihan Lokey in 2015, Chris was a Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management (CCM), where he was responsible for origination, underwriting, portfolio management, and investment exits for a broad range of specialty finance transactions. Before CCM, he was a Principal at Caltius Mezzanine Partners in Los Angeles, a fund focused on providing junior capital financing alternatives to privately held middle-market companies. Mr. Hebble was a Vice President at Houlihan Lokey from 2000 to 2004.

Tuan Hoang is a Director in BDO’s private equity industry group. He leads the private equity business development efforts for the firm’s Western Region with a focus on sourcing audit, tax, consulting and transaction advisory work for BDO’s PE clients and prospects. He also works closely with BDO Capital Advisors, the mid-market investment banking team, in terms of their PE focus and new deal outreach. Tuan maintains active dialogue with the key private equity groups in the middle market.

Andrew has particular expertise in the branded consumer products, manufacturing & distribution, new media and technology industries. His clients benefit from his strong business and finance background gained from working for investment bank Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin prior to attending law school. Brandon Ferrera is a Senior Vice President and Group Manager who oversees Comerica Bank’s South Bay Middle Market Group. As group manager, Ferrera is focused on middle market companies with revenue from $20 million to $500 million. In addition, his team is responsible for covering Southern California based private equity firms that invest in high growth companies. Ferrera’s ability to balance the two areas that sometimes intersect with great complexity is one of his most significant strengths. Starting his career with Comerica as a Credit Analyst, Ferrera earned several promotions and was named Group Manager just seven years later. He now manages a team of 11 that supports its clients’ growth with financing for Leveraged Buyouts, Acquisitions, Working Capital and Growth Capital. Among Ferrera’s accomplishments has been to create a successful strategy in continuing to build relationships with more private equity firms.
