As NJII’s President, Michael is a passionate and disruptive leader that has focused his efforts on solving the big problems society faces by leading the development and commercialization of paradigm-shifting technologies. Michael has also been recognized and featured as an industry leader in well-known publications such as Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30 list, the NJBIZ 40 Under 40 list and NJBIZ Power Top 50 in Healthcare list.
Prior to NJII, Michael founded the advanced cell culture and imaging contract research business, Visikol, where he led all scientific, commercial, strategic, operational and financial efforts. Visikol acquired all 20 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies as clients and its products were used in over 100 publications by over 1,000 different research labs. During his time at Visikol, Michael oversaw 200+ discovery programs and led the development and launch of many advanced cell culture models, assays and imaging approaches. Following the successful integration of Visikol into BICO, Michael took over as the Chief Commercial Officer at MatTek Life Sciences (BICO sister company) where he led all international sales, marketing and business development teams.
The CEO Forum is a quarterly discussion meeting over dinner for CEOs, business owners and other selected senior executives representing companies with annual revenues generally between $25 million and $1 billion+. Over 250 CEOs have attended since our first meeting in 2004, with many current "regulars." A typical dinner discussion group has a CEO leading the discussion on an important topic of interest, with 25 to 30 CEOs attending.
