From Start-up to Scale-up: An Entrepreneur's Tale
Despite all the
business plans, models and theories out there, an entrepreneurial journey is
first and foremost a psychological journey. It’s a journey which starts in the
mind and the heart. Do you have an idea and are itching to start your own
venture? Do you find yourself constantly debating: Should you or should you
not? This talk will focus on the lessons, dilemmas, the practical aspects, the
daily joys and pain of an entrepreneurial journey- with a special focus on the
pharmaceutical field. Product development in the pharma/biotech field is
capital intensive and development cycles are very long- it takes many millions
and many years for a product to come to market with many stops in between which
could terminate the journey. An entrepreneurial journey in such a field is a
