Two ACG Chapters Receive More Than $18,000

July 29, 2015: CHICAGO – The Association for Corporate Growth®, the global organization focused on driving middle-market growth and the "voice of the middle market," announced that two ACG chapters will receive over $18,000 in funding to support continuing innovation in public policy and membership initiatives. Winning chapters ACG Philadelphia and ACG Central Texas were selected out of the 10 applications received.

"In a fast-paced world, innovation is critical to ACG’s continued growth and development," said Chuck Morton, chair, ACG Chapter Innovation Fund Committee. "By investing in new ideas, ACG supports chapters in exploring new member services and helping advance ACG’s mission of 'Driving Middle-Market Growth®.'"

The Private-Equity Backed Company Initiative

The PE-backed company initiative is an effort designed to engage, educate and recruit PE-backed CEOs and CFOs through a series of interactive workshops led by PE firms and other industry leaders. The goal of the workshops is to introduce PE-backed companies to one another, to critical management tools and to the value of the ACG brand and network.

ACG Central Texas

Growing Membership and Diversity: Doing it MOU Way

The proposal includes signing memorandums of understanding with selected complementary organizations with the objective of actively exposing the respective organizations to each other’s membership base. The goal of the project is to expose the ACG brand and share its mission with the Mexican Entrepreneur Association, Women Energy Network and the Texas Military Officers Association, and to entice an untapped and more diverse pool of members.

About the ACG Chapter Innovation Fund
The Chapter Innovation Fund was created to distribute one-time grants of up to $10,000 to ACG chapters to seed or support new chapter-based initiatives. Since its inception in March 2012, ACG Global has awarded more than $169,000 in grants to support 23 new chapter-based initiatives. Eligible programs include, but are not limited to, initiatives in education, networking, technology, membership development, global connections and facilitation of business relationships between members. Grant applications are accepted and reviewed twice a year, January and June.
