Amber Landis Named Vice President of Public Policy for the Association for Corporate Growth

ACG Will Open Washington, DC Office

September 1, 2015 (CHICAGO)—The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG), a global professional organization focused on middle-market growth, private investment and mergers and acquisitions, today announced the promotion of Amber Landis to vice president of public policy. Landis will lead advocacy efforts in a Washington, DC office to open by the end of 2015.

Landis joined ACG in March 2013 as a director of public policy and has been responsible for the organization’s legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts. She was instrumental in the creation of the Caucus on Middle Market Growth in the U.S. House of Representatives, established ACG's Private Equity Regulatory Task Force and relaunched GrowthEconomy.org.

"Amber is a creative, hard-working professional with deep knowledge and experience on the policy issues impacting ACG members," said Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE, president and CEO, ACG. "As a Vice President, Amber will provide executive leadership for ACG's growing advocacy efforts in Washington, DC."

Previously, Landis worked in the Washington, DC office of Fortune 200 manufacturer Whirlpool Corp., advocating before Congress on issues such as tax and international trade, and managing the company’s political action committee and grassroots efforts. Landis has also served as manager of public affairs for TenCate USA, a multinational defense and textiles technology group based in the Netherlands. She opened the company’s first government relations office in Washington, D.C., overseeing all public affairs activities, including lobbying, public relations and the establishment of a PAC. Landis also previously worked at a retail trade association representing some of the largest retailers in the world, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Home Depot Inc., on international trade and labor-related issues.

Landis holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from Grand Valley State University.
