Gemma Descoteaux, Greenberg Traurig
The program’s top individual honor, the Legacy Award, will go to Gemma Descoteaux, who joined Greenberg Traurig’s Dallas office at the start of 2025. An M&A veteran of more than 30 years, Descoteaux has represented public companies in divestitures exceeding $1 billion, negotiated international joint ventures, negotiated long term services and licensing agreements, and advised on the acquisition and development of manufacturing facilities. Over her career she has spent time with Sheppard Mullin, Polsinelli, and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. She has also held various corporate roles.
“I want to be remembered as a woman who cared deeply about her clients and her colleagues, and worked hard for the advancement of women in the legal profession,” she says.
