Cornelia cheng

Cornelia Cheng, VP of Business Development & Partnerships at Mission Driven Finance

Cornelia has 25+ years of experience in private credit, investment banking, and leveraged finance, executing regional and impact expansion strategies. She serves as a board director and the sustainability & corporate responsibility committee chair at LTC Properties Inc., a senior housing REIT.

Prior to joining Mission Driven Finance, Cornelia founded BCB Capital to provide strategic growth consulting to lower-middle-market companies. She was previously managing director at MGG Investment Group and Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC, and regional head of the greater Los Angeles investment team for Prudential Private Credit. Over her career, Cornelia led origination, underwriting, and portfolio management of over $2 billion in private placement senior debt, leveraged loans, unitranche, mezzanine debt, and minority equity investments in middle-market companies across industries. She also previously held positions at investment bank CIBC World Markets and First Interstate Bank. Cornelia earned a BA from the University of California, Riverside, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Cornelia is a committed community leader and passionate advocate for women and access to capital for MWBEs. She is the volunteer president and board chair of the Los Angeles chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, having founded its DEI committee, and a global co-chair and Los Angeles co-chair for 50/50 Women on Boards. She is a former board member of the Archer School for Girls and the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Suzie Doran

Suzie Doran, Partner at SingerLewak

Suzie is an accomplished professional with a remarkable background. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Economics with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Suzie is an active member of various executive committees for the boards of the Association for Corporate Growth ("ACG") Los Angeles chapter as well as the ACG global board. She will be Chair of ACG, effective May 2026.  Moreover, she proudly represents SingerLewak on the PrimeGlobal Global Board and is currently, the Governance Chair.  She is the Audit Committee Chair for Urgent.ly (ULY).   She is also a member of the Women's Leadership Counsel in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience at the Firm, Suzie has worked with Public and Private companies in various industries and has transactional expertise in initial public offerings, secondary offerings, corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining SingerLewak, Suzie worked at Grant Thornton, LLP in their transaction advisory services group as a Senior Manager, where she honed her skills further. Her career began at PwC, primarily in the San Jose office, in 1997.

Nanxi Liu, Co-CEO at Blaze.tech

Nanxi Liu is the CEO and Co-Founder of Blaze Technology, a platform that enables teams to build software with no code. Previously, Nanxi served as CEO and co-founder of Enplug, a leading global digital display software company, which was successfully acquired. Nanxi also serves on the Board of Directors for CarParts.com (NASDAQ: PRTS), a leading e-commerce auto parts company.

In college, Nanxi founded Nanoly Bioscience, a venture-backed biotech company that develops polymers to eliminate refrigeration for vaccines. Nanoly received the Top Research award at the World Biomaterials Congress and is still successfully operating today. Named Forbes 30 Under 30, Nanxi is also on the Board of Advisors for Covington Capital Management, and she is a producer of the Amazon TV show, The Bay, where she won an Emmy award. Nanxi graduated with a double major from UC Berkeley. She is a concert pianist and enjoys running, hiking, tennis, and basketball.

Patricia Lizarraga, Chief Investment Officer at WCEO ETF

Patricia Lizarraga is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Hypatia Women CEO Index & ETF, investing in American public companies with women CEOs for performance and impact.

She has over 30 years of Wall Street merchant banking experience, at firms including Allen & Co, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Citi, and has been focused on investing in women since 2007.

Ms. Lizarraga Chair’s the chair of the Audit Committee for Credicorp, Ltd. and Banco de Credito del Peru, the largest financial conglomerate and universal bank in Peru, respectively.

She is a Trustee of the Museum of Art of Lima. Ms. Lizarraga earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Yale University.

Marni Wieshofer

Marni Wieshofer’s background includes Head of Media and Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s TMT Corporate Finance Group, based out of Los Angeles, providing mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial advisory and financial restructuring services. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, she was a Partner and Managing Director at MESA, a boutique advisory investment bank, where she spearheaded investment banking, strategy and valuation engagements for companies throughout the media space. Her background also includes CFO and EVP of Corporate Development at Lionsgate Entertainment where she oversaw the company’s mergers, acquisitions and other strategic financial initiatives and prominent roles at Media Rights Capital, Alliance Atlantis Communications and Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants. Ms. Wieshofer is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Organigram Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: OGI) (TSX: OGI), Acceso Impact, Inc. and Westbrook Global Inc. and recently left the Board of Directors at Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: HYMC) and Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. (TSXV: TBRD, OTCMKTS: THBRF) where she was interim Chair of the Board. Ms. Wieshofer holds a BA from Western University, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and obtained the ICD.D designation in 2018.

Kelly O’Neil, Managing Director and Regional Private Equity Leader at CBIZ (moderator)

Kelly is a shareholder in our Los Angeles office, the Southern California Attest Practice Leader, and the West Coast Private Equity Industry Leader. She has been serving clients since 2007 and works closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies across the region, helping them navigate complex accounting, reporting, and transaction-related matters throughout the investment lifecycle.

A Certified Public Accountant, Kelly is recognized as a national specialist in providing audit and consulting services to companies across a variety of industries for both public and large privately held companies, including many backed by private equity and venture capital. 

She also has a strong understanding of business processes and has been instrumental in developing solutions for corporate management on various accounting matters, with a significant focus on compliance, operations, internal control environments, and the related financial statement impact.
