Andrew Howard, Co-President, Partner, Shamrock Capital
Andrew Howard is a Co-President, Partner and member of the Executive Committee of Shamrock Capital. Mr. Howard currently serves as a director of Religion of Sports, Gate 52 (FKA SaveLive), Pixellot, and Branded Cities. Additionally, Mr. Howard oversees Shamrock’s investments in Nth Degree, SpotOn, Canopy Spectrum and Omega Wireless, and is actively involved with Shamrock’s investment in Excel Sports Management. Previously, he served on the boards of DeCurtis Corporation, Mobilitie, Appetize, Screenvision Media, Consilio, Questex, MarketCast, Wazee, K2 Towers, RealD, Publishing Group of America, Naylor Publications, PrimeCo Wireless, Liberation Entertainment, and BASE Entertainment and was a board observer of MetroPCS and OpNext. Mr. Howard is on the Board of Governors for the USC Annenberg School – Center for the Digital Future, serves on the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Foundation Board of Trustees, the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology Sports Management Advisory Board. Mr. Howard was previously on the Board of the Stanford University Alumni Association and served on the Executive Committee and Board of the Independent School Alliance. Prior to joining Shamrock in 2006, Mr. Howard was a Vice President with Clarity Partners, a media and communications focused private equity fund. Mr. Howard is a graduate of Stanford University.
Dan Krasner, Managing Director, Platinum Equity
Dan Krasner is responsible for the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. As a member of the operating council for portfolio companies, he also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of add-on and divestiture transactions.
Prior to joining Platinum in 2003, he spent five years in the mergers and acquisitions group of Paul Hastings. Mr. Krasner received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Juris Doctor degree from Cornell University Law School.
Jordon Kruse, Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager, Oaktree Capital Management
Mr. Kruse is a managing director and co-portfolio manager of the Special Situations Group. He is responsible for management of the strategy and its investing activities. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2001, Mr. Kruse was an attorney at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity. Mr. Kruse currently serves on the boards of directors of Interblock Gaming, J&J Ventures Gaming (Nevada), Mesquite Gaming and Crossroads Building Supply. He previously served as a director of numerous former investments in a broad range of industries. In addition, Mr. Kruse serves on the Law Board of the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and is also an Emeritus member of the Board of Trustees of The College Foundation of the University of Virginia. Mr. Kruse received a B.A. degree in history and government from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as a Note and Comment Editor of the Law Review.
Alex Wolf, Managing Partner at Kingswood Capital Management, LP
Alex is Managing Partner and Founder of Kingswood Capital Management. He oversees firm-wide management, the strategic direction of the firm and leads the firm’s investment team. Alex has been a private equity investor since 1997, having completed dozens of investments, with several billion dollars deployed across a wide range of industry sectors, including: business services, software, media, telecommunications and technology, distribution, gaming, manufacturing, energy services, paper and packaging, retail and consumer products. Alex has significant expertise in M&A, corporate strategy, turnarounds, restructuring and merger integration.
Before founding Kingswood, Alex was at two leading private equity firms, as an original member of both the Ares Management investment team and the Cerberus Capital Management private equity team. As a Partner and Managing Director in the Cerberus Capital Management private equity practice, Alex led or co-led the acquisitions of companies from global Fortune 500 corporations, entrepreneurs and the public equity markets. Alex began his career in the leverage finance group of Wells Fargo.
Alex founded Kingswood in 2013 with the goal of creating a differentiated private investment firm focused on building a portfolio of high-quality companies operating in the middle-market. Kingswood’s investment philosophy is to partner with management teams to create long-term, sustainable value for businesses in transition or exhibiting the potential for operational improvement. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Jonathan Zucker, Managing Director, Intrepid (moderator)
Jonathan is a Managing Director and Head of the Capital Advisory Group at Intrepid. He is responsible for advising entrepreneurs and private equity investors on transformational capital raise transactions including debt, equity, and structured capital. During his more than 20-year career in finance, Jonathan has been involved in a wide range of capital transactions, from IPOs to early-stage venture financings. He has executed capital raises for companies across a diverse set of industries, including consumer, industrials, media and entertainment, healthcare, and software.
Prior to joining Intrepid, he served as Vice President and Head of the Los Angeles office of U.S. Capital Partners, a direct lender and provider of capital-raising and M&A advisory services to middle-market companies. Previously, he worked in the media & technology group at Credit Suisse, in addition to co-founding NotTV Network, a digital media company focused on live entertainment. An accomplished songwriter and musician, Jonathan is a former voting member of the Recording Academy and a board member of In the Band, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing mobile music education programs to community centers and schools throughout Los Angeles. He is also a board member and Vice President of the Los Angeles chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
