John Birnsteel

Doe Anderson
CEO

John Birnsteel became Doe Anderson CEO in 2023 and has since led the 130-person agency to its highest revenue figures to date. He also championed the agency’s recent certification as a B Corp and serves as only the seventh CEO in the company’s 111-year history.

Beyond the office, John is active in the city’s arts organizations. He recently stepped down after serving four years as the Chair of the Kentucky College of Art + Design’s Board of Trustees. During his tenure, the college became the first newly accredited college of art and design in America in nearly 40 years.

John currently sits on the boards of Leadership Louisville, AMIN Worldwide (the international network of independent advertising agencies), and the American Association of Advertising Agencies' Midwest Board of Governors.
