BUSINESS AND POLITICS IN NC

Breakfast Meeting
Thursday January 23, 7:30 – 9:00 am
Sheraton Imperial Hotel

There is no doubt that politics will take center stage in 2020.
While the National scene will have its own story, we have much to discuss here in North Carolina.
New budgets, taxes, and other legislative initiatives will have big impacts on businesses in our state. What’s coming?
How to prepare? When to call your state legislator?

Join our speaker, Dana Simpson – Smith Anderson, to learn more about what to expect in business and NC politics in 2020.
Dana Simpson co-chairs the Government Relations practice at Smith Anderson and regularly represents clients before the North Carolina General Assembly and with State agencies.

Dana advises clients regarding legislative and regulatory advocacy, public relations, issues management, economic development initiatives, ethics, and campaign finance law compliance. Dana has been consistently rated one of the "Most Influential" lobbyists in North Carolina by the nonpartisan N.C. Center for Public Policy Research, including previously being rated the number one "Most Influential."
