Brent Baxter is the leader of Clayton Capital Partners’ buy-side practice and a senior dealmaker in the firm’s sell-side practice. Clayton Capital Partners (CCP) is one of the nation's top independent investment banking firms for the middle market, as reported by Thomson Financial, Mergerstat and Investment Dealers' Digest.

Brent brings over 25 years of advisory experience to each engagement. He has worked with a diverse group of buyers and sellers (from Fortune 10 corporations to privately owned family businesses and leading private equity firms) to execute growth and diversification strategies through careful, creative and strategic acquisitions and/or strategic exits.

 

Brent and his team have closed over 200 transactions with an aggregate value of over $1 billion.

Brent serves on the Executive Committee and is the Chair of Finance for  the global Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth-(ACG), an organization of approximately 14,500 merger and acquisition professionals across the globe. He serves on the board of directors of several privately held companies. He also devotes his time to nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of early childhood education.

Mr. Hulett is a Managing Director with St. Louis-based Investment Banking firm R.L. Hulett & Company where he has led M&A transactions in a variety of industries including manufacturing/industrial, distribution, transportation and logistics, business services and healthcare.  Prior to joining R.L. Hulett in 2007, he held senior level accounting and financial management positions in both public accounting and large corporations.  Mr. Hulett began his career as a CPA with MPP&W, a St. Louis-based public accounting firm specializing in audit, tax and consulting services for middle market companies. He then held various management positions in internal audit and corporate accounting with a Fortune 1000 industrial manufacturing company before spending nine years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company in the corporate accounting group.  Mr. Hulett is a licensed Series 79 Investment Banking Representative and a CPA.  He earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Brett co-founded the St. Louis office for Nolan in 2009 and focuses on the origination and execution of middle market M&A advisory and capital raise assignments. He has 16 years of investment banking experience, and has advised clients on mergers, acquisitions, strategic alternatives, fairness opinions and capital raising assignments for both publicly-traded and privately-held companies.

Brett has advised clients on more than 60 transactions totaling over $2.0 billion in aggregate value. He works with clients in a multitude of industries including healthcare, industrial, contract manufacturing, business technology services (software/database, distribution), building products, packaging and consumer.

Prior to joining Nolan, Brett was an investment banker at National City Capital Markets and A.G. Edwards Capital Markets and an associate at Brooke Private Equity. Brett earned his MBA from Washington University and his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Miami University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses with Middle Market Transactions, Inc., a commonly owned broker/dealer affiliate of Nolan & Associates.

Outside the office, Brett enjoys squash, fitness and soccer, but spends most of his free time as a husband, father and coach. Brett works from Nolan’s St. Louis office.

With more than 15 years of global corporate finance and capital markets experience gained at industry-leading investment banks, Albert has worked extensively with both publicly listed and privately held companies from around the world.

Past experience includes serving as a member of the Global Industrials Group within the Corporate Finance Department at Morgan Stanley. Before that, Albert advised privately held companies in the structuring and execution of shareholder liquidity transactions involving the sale of equity to employees, management and private equity investors.

Albert began his career at Merrill Lynch where he helped execute over 50 equity and equity-linked investment offerings totaling more than $18 billion. He then joined the Credit Suisse capital markets group in New York where he collaborated on 45 public equity offerings totaling $6 billion for environmental, business services, healthcare and education companies. Afterward, Albert joined the Sao Paolo office, working on cross-border mergers and acquisitions within the petroleum, agricultural, transportation and mining industries.

Albert graduated cum laude from Harvard College and holds a Master of Science degree in Foreign Policy from Georgetown University where he was recognized for academic excellence.
