The ACG Cup

The ACG Cup is a case study competition designed to give students from leading MBA programs across the country invaluable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. The competition is carried out through a series of intra-school competitions, with each university bringing their top three teams to the University Club in downtown Tampa on Thursday, March 28, 2019 for both the Round One and Final Round. The prestigious ACG Tampa Bay Cup title and cash awards will be given.  

Participating in the ACG Cup provides students with the unparalleled opportunity to:

How It Works/Timetable

  • February 2019: Information distributed to students and faculty; Students submit their interest in participating
  • Teams are formed (deadline for team submission is February 28, 2019)
  • As in previous years, ACG Tampa Bay is happy and willing to provide support in promoting the ACG Cup competition through on-campus meetings with students, advisors and faculty
  • February 2019: Webinars are provided by the Merrill DataSite for students to participate and prepare
  • Thursday, March 21, 2019 - Case Study is distributed to all participants
  • Teams have one week to prepare their presentations for the competition on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Downtown Tm
  • Round Two will be the same case information as Round One – the winning teams are provided 90 minutes to make any changes they may want prior to presenting to the Round Two judges.
