Family Office Panel - Sarasota Meeting

Noam Abrams is based in Tampa and leads private investing for Jeff Vinik’s family office.  Vinik Family Office has interests in sports (ownership of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team), real estate, public equities and private investments.

Noam focuses mainly on private equity and venture capital with an opportunistic and flexible approach, including leading deals and co-investing with sponsors and other families.

Prior to joining the Vinik team, Noam worked at Webster Equity Partners in Boston and went to college and business school at the University of Chicago

Greg Dugard is Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Sator Grove Holdings.  Sator Grove is a permanent capital structure organized as a holding company with a limited number of investors.  Prior to the Grove, he served for almost two decades in a variety of Associate Vice President roles at the University of Notre Dame, most recently as Associate Vice President of Principal Gifts & Strategy. Additionally, Greg was the executive director of Notre Dame’s most recent capital campaign -- the first campaign in higher education to surpass $5 billion in a seven-year period without a medical school.  Greg was a co-founder and served on the boards of the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing and the Wall Street Leadership Committee, in addition to teaching various courses in the Mendoza College of Business and the Notre Dame Law School.

Prior to joining Notre Dame, Greg was a director in the mergers & acquisitions group within Honeywell International Inc., focusing on aerospace.  He began his career practicing law at Winston & Strawn within the corporate practice group, focusing on public securities, private equity and general M&A transactions. Greg graduated with his JD from the University of Notre Dame after receiving an undergraduate degree in finance from Saint Louis University.  He has served as a director or advisor to a number of charitable organizations and family offices throughout his career

Jonathan Ives is a managing director for SCG Partners. He leads all private equity and corporate development efforts, including deal sourcing strategy and execution, managing deal flow, analyzing and executing on acquisition opportunities, and developing and maintaining intermediary relationships. Jonathan has more than 20 years of financial advisory, equity research and investment banking experience.

Zach works closely with clients in connection with acquisitions, sales, mergers, joint ventures, private equity transactions, corporate governance matters, securities regulation matters, contract review and negotiation, corporate restructuring, and succession planning. He serves as outside general counsel for organizations in a variety of industries including distribution, supply chain management, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, engineering, healthcare, real estate, commercial retail, and technology. He also serves as Board of Directors counsel for the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County and Board of Directors counsel for the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance.

Along with other community work and activities, Zach has served as a Director of the Sarasota County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Sertoma Club of Sarasota and the Association for Corporate Growth, and he is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Sarasota program.

Zach earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, his M.B.A. from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and his B.S., Business Administration and Finance, from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
