Following the sale of myMatrixx, Cardy is fun-employed spending time working on his long neglected golf game and hanging around the beach with intermittent periods advising clients via his management company TW Cardy & Co. 

Previously, Tom served as the CFO for Preview Travel, a publicly traded online travel pioneer later sold to Travelocity, and for Communications Equity Associates, a media and entertainment- focused investment bank with operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia.  Additionally, Tom has over 20 years of experience providing investment banking and financial advisory services to middle market firms, most recently as a Managing Director with Tampa-based Hyde Park Capital. He began his career in the audit and tax practice at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Tom has an extensive background as a senior financial executive, advisor, early stage investor, and mentor to entrepreneurial companies and has been a contributor to the Tampa Bay region’s growth economy for almost 40 years. Tom was named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2016 Power 100: a list of the most powerful business leaders and influential names across our community. He was also honored in 2012 for his achievements as the recipient of the CFO of the Year Award presented by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Tom is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth’s Tampa Chapter and on the Board of Directors & Investment Committee for Florida’s New World Angels. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his degree in Business Administration and Accounting with high honors from the University of Florida.
