Why did you join ACG?
I initially joined ACG because I was involved in M&A in the Chicago market with a Chicago firm and wanted to become more involved in the deal community closer to home.

How has ACG WI helped you in your career?
ACG has been a wonderful venue to meet the various professionals in all aspects of the business community. I have met connections I can utilize to refer clients or get industry opinion and information.

What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
In addition to the standard (Family is everything, we can work anywhere, and the importance of our health):

  • You can enjoyably dine outdoors in 50-degree weather – dress appropriately and look for heaters.
  • I cherish my local coffee shops more than I ever thought possible (COVID closed) - Stone Creek Coffee, Bella Café, and Wonderstate Coffee, I miss you!
  • Zoom/Teams is a lifesaver and a great second choice is you cannot be in-person.

What do you do for fun?
As a source of connection with my adult children, we run half-marathons together in great locations. Attached photo is from the Texas Wine Country Run. Who knew there was “wine country” in Texas? It’s beautiful and has impressive wine as well.

What is the best book you have read this past year?
The Moment of Lift – Melinda Gates
The Lost City of the Monkey God – Doug Preston
