Why did you join ACG?
I joined ACG because it is well known for having a great and exclusive network of M&A professionals and providing exceptional speakers at events.

How has ACG WI helped you in your career?
Many of the M&A professionals I work with on a daily basis, I first met through my ACG network.

What has your ACG membership meant to you?
It has allowed me to be part of the premier network of M&A professionals in the business community.

What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
The biggest lesson from the pandemic is the importance of constant communication during a crisis.  During times of uncertainty is when people need to hear from you the most.  It is especially important to overcommunicate with people even when you do not have the answers to their questions and concerns.

What do you think are the biggest challenges your industry will face in the next 5 years, and what actions is your business taking to position it for success in the future?
The biggest challenge facing Private Equity is the significant increase in investment dollars being allocated to the asset class.  This creates intense competition for deals, which in turn, puts downward pressure on returns.  There is also a negative public image issue that could have lasting impacts on the industry through government regulation if it is not addressed.

What do you do for fun?
Family vacations.  I am looking forward to being able to travel again.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn to fly.  I have taken a few lessons but am far from being certified.

What is the best book you have read this past year?
I really enjoyed Robert Iger's book, The Ride of a Lifetime.  I also enjoyed Stephen Schwarzman's book, What it Takes.
