2023 ACG Women + Wine @ Weller Haus

Inspired by her participation in The Wine Writers’ Symposium, Kathy launched Vino Ventures in 2013 to provide a creative home for sharing stories of a passion for travel, wine, and food around the world. In 2019, she launched a new blog series called “United States of Wine.”

Kathy has written for Cincinnati’s Venue Magazine, French Wine Explorers, Wine Scholar Guild, and The Florentine (Italy). She serves as Chargée de Presse Provincial (Midwest) for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. For French Wine Explorers, she hosted the company’s inaugural group tours to Tuscany and Piedmont. An investor in Cincinnati’s 1215 Wine Bar in OTR, she helped to design its wine-flight program. Kathy provides fun and educational wine events for companies, nonprofit organizations, professional and alumni associations, and private clients, and has served as WSET faculty for the American Wine School. Kathy is the author of two books: “Imagineers | Impresarios | Inventors: Cincinnati’s Arts and the Power of Her” (2020) and “Answer the Call of the Wild: The Remarkable Life of Cathryn Hosea Hilker.” She is the former president/CEO of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (1997-2015).
