2024 YACG Volunteer Day with UC Economics Center

Market Madness takes place at UC's Fifth Third Arena and is an annual event that allows individual school “economies” to come together for a market experience, including the trade of products and services produced in student-run school businesses. 

Volunteer Duties

• Greet students and teachers at bus drop-off area
• Help load products/lunches into carts and transport into building
• Assist teachers with check-in and locating tables
• Help set up the table businesses as needed
• Each volunteer will have the following assignments during the event:
  • 1-2 sessions as tour guide (each volunteer will work with a group of 2-30 students and chaperones/groups will follow Econ Center staff who are leading first group of each tour/practice tour will be given to each volunteer before the event begins)
  • 1 session to shop 
• Help organize groups into tours
• General crowd control, including directing people to restrooms and redirecting wayward students or chaperones
• Hand out water to exiting students at end of the event
