Remote work has become an increasingly large part of the conversation around the future of work for the last decade. The events of the past year have answered many of our questions around the possibility of remote work, but have also prompted many more. Join us for a panel to discuss current trends in remote and physical work and what this may say about the future of the topic.

Shane Barry has spent the last 8 years in state government affairs representing both a corporation and non-profit at the state level in that time. While his focus now is nationwide, he spent nearly 7 years crafting state policy and rubbing shoulders with Michigan's political leaders. Shane now covers state policy for Ernst and Young, one of the world's largest professional service firms, advising on a large swath of legislative issues.

Danielle F. Bass is an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she focuses her practice on transactional matters involving information technology, intellectual property, data, and media with an emphasis on commercial relationships. Danielle frequently drafts and negotiates various agreements regarding the development, license, and transfer of intellectual property, media, and technology (including related service arrangements) on behalf of clients across a number of industries. Danielle is deeply integrated with her client's internal legal processes and business and has acted as commercial counsel during hiring lapses and leaves of absence. Danielle consistently works side-by-side with in-house legal teams to assist in developing contract review processes and negotiate agreements on behalf of internal business units.

Alicia, a principal at Plante Moran Cresa, leads the firm's program management service line, overseeing the 50+ person team made up of project managers, project accountants, and PMIS system administrators in delivering work for our clients in the corporate, public, senior living, and healthcare sectors. She is responsible for process and procedures, risk, staff development, and business metrics. With 30+ years of diverse design and construction experience, her comprehensive expertise in project feasibility, programming, design management, preconstruction planning, and construction project oversight is invaluable to clients nationwide. Alicia earned a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering with an emphasis in construction management from the University of Kansas and a Master of Science in management from Walsh College. She is a LEED accredited professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), as well as a member of the Engineering Society of Detroit, CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), and USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council).

Prior to joining Townsend Search Group, Matt worked with the largest privately held recruiting company in the United States, where he successfully fulfilled client needs in functional and leadership positions for over five years. Combining his education in Social Relations and Policy and Economics from Michigan State University (MSU) with an MBA from Wayne State University, Matt brings an analytical approach to his daily work. Matt is driven to understand the complex landscape in which a company operates that when combined with its internal processes, structures, and people, make it wholly unique.
