The Heat and Warmth Fund
For the last 15 years, ACG Detroit, its members and guests, have raised money for a local charity at the Mingle Bells Networking & Charity Event held in December. This year, The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW), received a check for $5,000.
About our 2020 Mingle Bells Event Charity
The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) is an independent non-profit organization that provides electrical, gas and water utility assistance to keep Michigan families healthy, safe and warm. Across Michigan, 40 percent of households struggle to afford the basic needs of housing, including energy. In the last year, THAW distributed more than $14 million in utility assistance to over 17,000 Michigan households. THAW is proud that 92 percent of every dollar raised or granted goes directly to those in need. Since its inception in 1985, THAW has distributed over $250 million in assistance to more than 260,000 Michigan households. For more, visit thawfund.org.
