He holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from Clemson University.
Misty Mayo, Develop Abilene
Misty Mayo is a distinguished economic development professional with over 35 years of experience in marketing and economic development. She is a Master Economic Development Practitioner and was named a Top 50 Economic Developer in North America in 2022.
As President & CEO of the Development Corporation of Abilene (DCOA), she leads the award winning 2023 International Economic Development Organization of the Year. Since 2019, Mayo has facilitated over 50 company expansions and secured more than $50 billion in capital investment commitments for Abilene.
Before joining the DCOA, Mayo was President and CEO of the Boerne/Kendall County Economic Development Corporation and Executive Vice President at the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation. Throughout her career, Mayo has led efforts to create jobs through strategic locations for companies such as Oracle, Lancium, Crusoe, Great Lakes Cheese, WESCO, Bridgestone Bandag, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Amazon, Becton Dickinson, and Medtronic Diabetes Therapy Headquarters.
An honors graduate of West Texas A&M University, she was inducted into the university's Communication Hall of Fame. Mayo currently serves on Governor Greg Abbott’s Economic Incentives Oversight Board and the Texas Economic Development Council Executive Committee as the future 2027 Chair of TEDC. A proud Texan, Misty grew up as an army brat. Her proudest role is as a wife, mom, and GamGam.
Jeffrey Sheehan, Site Selection Group
Jeff Sheehan is a Senior Vice President with Site Selection Group, providing corporate real estate and location advisory services to clients with domestic and international requirements. He has completed projects throughout the Americas and Europe, helping organizations align real estate strategy with operational, workforce, and infrastructure needs.
With more than 25 years of experience, Jeff specializes in site selection, transaction management, labor and demographic analysis, and economic incentive negotiations. He has deep expertise across multiple asset classes, including data centers, call centers, financial institutions, land development, and corporate headquarters.
Jeff’s work with data center clients involves advising on market and site evaluations with a focus on power availability and scalability, utility coordination, fiber connectivity, incentives, tax structures, entitlement risk, and long-term operational costs. He regularly works with utilities, economic development agencies, and local jurisdictions to secure competitive power solutions and incentive packages that support mission-critical facility deployments.
Prior to joining Site Selection Group, Jeff served as Director of Specialty Services with CASE Commercial (Colliers International), where he led site selection, incentive negotiations, and real estate strategy for complex corporate projects. He previously held a Vice President role with Partners National Real Estate Group.
Jeff is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a licensed real estate salesman in the State of Texas.
