Adam Abramowitz has more than 20 years of investment banking experience in the middle market. He joined Intrepid as Vice President and Founding Principal in 2010, after nearly a decade of focusing on middle-market mergers and acquisitions at Barrington Associates and Wells Fargo Securities. Adam has executed transactions involving private and public companies in a wide variety of industries, including consumer products, business services, healthcare, and industrial manufacturing. In addition to executing transactions, he’s actively involved in the management, growth, and development of the firm.

While Adam began his investment career working across a broad range of industries, for the past several years, he has helped to build and grow Intrepid’s Healthcare Group to one of the most active in the Western United States. Today, Adam advises companies in the healthcare services, physician practice management, life sciences, and behavioral healthcare spaces working with dynamic entrepreneurs. Recently, the Los Angeles Business Journal named Adam the “Healthcare Trusted Advisor of the Year” and a “Leader of Influence in Investment Banking.”

Some of his notable recent transactions include the sale of Connetics USA, a rapidly growing international nurse recruitment platform, to AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN), the sale of Apostrophe, a leading teledermatology platform, on its sale to Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (NYSE: HIMS), a leading multi-specialty telehealth platform which became a public company via a SPAC in early 2021.  Adam led the sale of Mosaic Laboratories, a specialized bioanalytical lab serving pharma companies in their clinical trials research, to CellCarta, a portfolio company of Arsenal Capital. Moreover, Adam helped lead the groundbreaking sale of Ambry Genetics to Konica Minolta in a deal valued at $1 billion. Adam is highly regarded among his clients and peers for the tenacity with which he approaches deals and his proactivity to bring creative solutions to challenging deals.

From 2016 through 2021, Adam has served on the Board of Directors for ACG Los Angeles Chapter. In June 2021, Adam was awarded the JVS SoCal Generation Impact Award and in 2019 he was selected as Vice Chair of the Emerging Leaders Program for JVS SoCal as he also serves on its Board of Directors. Adam has a passion for helping those who need assistance to find and develop critical skills to gain meaningful employment.

Ryan Foltz joined Brentwood Associates in 2011 and focuses on the Consumer and Consumer Healthcare sector. He currently serves as a Director of Jefferson Dental and Orthodontics, and previously served as Director of MD Now. He was also active in the corporate development efforts of Marshall Retail Group, Soft Surroundings, Sundance Holding Company, Lazy Dog Restaurants, and Pacific Catch. 

Prior to joining Brentwood, Ryan spent three years at Swander Pace Capital, where he focused on private equity investing and portfolio company management in the consumer products industry. Ryan also spent two years as an Analyst at Harris Williams & Co. where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.

Ryan graduated from UC Berkeley where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business, and a master’s degree in education from the Graduate School of Education.

Ben Holber is the Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Apostrophe, a tele-dermatology and skincare platform, which was launched in 2014.

Apostrophe was designed to make it easier for consumers to get Rx acne medications and treatments by connecting users with board-certified dermatologists. The company now has a vertically integrated mail-order pharmacy which facilitates the distribution of customer treatment plans and is currently licensed to fulfill orders in 29 states.

In the years since its founding, Ben has helped Apostrophe build a brand that has attracted and heavily engaged Gen Z and millennial consumers, by helping eliminate trips to the dermatologist, long halts in the waiting room, and the overall annoyance of visiting a pharmacy.

Before Apostrophe, Ben worked as a Fixed Income Trader at TradeLink and managed Lehigh’s Varsity Men's Basketball Team. Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lehigh University, and also attended the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Ben Kruger cofounded Sollis Health, a members-only 24/7 concierge medical service, with the goal of combatting overwhelmed emergency rooms, a need that only became increasingly vital as the COVID-19 pandemic gained momentum throughout the United States. Sollis since expanded its centers in California, New York and Florida.

Previously, Kruger was Senior Vice President – Acquisitions at Vandewater Capital Holdings in New York, where he managed portfolios in healthcare and media investments that inspired him to help create compelling customer experiences in hospitality-driven healthcare. He was also Creative Director at Jesta Digital/Fox Mobile Studios after working as a writer and producer in Los Angeles.
