DETROIT, Mich., Sept. 2, 2025 — ACG Detroit, the region’s premier mergers & acquisitions dealmaking community, has elected Mark Winter of Identity as president of its 400-member chapter. Winter will begin his term on Sept. 1, 2025, succeeding Danielle Bass of Honigman, who recently completed her two-year term as president.
Winter brings more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and leadership experience to the role. Since founding Identity in 1998, he has helped shape communications strategies for companies in nearly every industry vertical, with particular expertise in real estate, professional services and growth-focused middle-market businesses. Recognized for his relationship-first approach and commitment to business value creation, Winter has long been recognized as a connector across the nation’s business landscape.
“I’m honored to serve as ACG Detroit’s next president and build on the momentum created by previous presidents and boards,” Winter said. “This organization plays a vital role in bringing together and supporting professionals who are driving business investment, innovation and growth in SE Michigan. Our board will be focused on expanding that impact in meaningful and measurable ways.”
In addition to Winter’s appointment, ACG Detroit is welcoming three new members to its board in key leadership roles: Amy Whipple, BDO, as Women’s Forum chair; Jeff Wyatt, DWH, as DEI chair; and Cal Coffman, Lockton, as ACG Cares chair. These additions reflect the chapter’s continued focus on inclusivity, philanthropy and professional development.
Winter is a past president of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Detroit and was inducted into the Public Relations Society of America Hall of Fame in 2023. He currently serves on the executive board of The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) as development chair and is leading Identity’s national expansion efforts, including the firm’s growth in Tampa, Florida.
