Executive Director, Automotive Analysis

Mike brings more than two decades of financial analysis, forecasting, consulting and manufacturing experience to S&P Global Mobility, with a primary focus on assisting automakers, suppliers and financial firms in their evaluation and understanding of the auto industry, as well as in-depth analysis of vehicle markets and technology trends.

Mike is quoted frequently in the media on a variety of automotive topics, and he regularly delivers presentations on the outlook for the automotive industry to company executives, financial investors and other interest groups, including past work with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria. Mike graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in finance and later earned the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.

Heather M. Schroder is a Vice President in the Legal Department at Robert Bosch LLC, based at Bosch’s North American headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. She leads the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate legal team for North America, overseeing all cross-border M&A activity into and out of the U.S. and Canada. 

Effective January 1, 2026, Ms. Schroder will transition to a new role at Bosch, leading Strategy and Governance for North America. 

A native of New York, Ms. Schroder joined Bosch in 2014 after serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at ATMI, Inc., a publicly traded semiconductor company in Connecticut (acquired by Entegris Inc. in 2014). Before moving in-house, she practiced corporate law as an associate in New York City. She is admitted to the bars of New York, Connecticut, and Michigan. 

Ms. Schroder currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Grosse Pointe Academy and previously served on the Board of Advisors for Syracuse University College of Law (2016–2024). She also chaired The Academy Fund for the 2023–2024 academic year. In addition, she is an active member of the Detroit Athletic Club, where she serves on multiple committees. 

Ms. Schroder presents regularly at legal and Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) events, and frequently participates in cross-border panels in both the United States and Germany.

Steven Wybo is a senior managing director with over 25 years of experience in providing turnaround, reorganization, M&A, and financial advisory services to distressed and underperforming companies. Steve specializes in insolvency/bankruptcy matters, turnaround and crisis management, profit enhancement, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, raising of debt/equity capital, and liquidations both in and out of court. He has also served as an interim chief financial officer, chief restructuring officer, interim chief operating officer, treasurer, and court appointed receiver for several middle market clients.

In prior roles, Steve was a senior associate at PwC where he specialized in financial service compliance, investment banking in technology and other service industries, and automotive industry financing, including debt offerings, securitizations, and private placements.

Automotive Reporter
Jeff Gilbert is the automotive reporter for Detroit's all news radio station, WWJ Newsradio 950 and a frequent contributor to the CBS Radio Network.
 
A veteran of more than a half century in broadcasting, Jeff is one of the few who have been inducted into both the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame and the Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
 
Jeff covers all aspects of the auto industry, including product, sales, finance technology and labor relations.  After stops in Pennsylvania and California, Jeff came to Detroit in 1986 and has been with WWJ since 1990.  For the past twenty years, he's exclusively covered the auto industry.   His "Car Chronicles" features are heard daily on WWJ and on CBS Radio Network affiliates across the country.  Jeff often appears live on those stations discussing major automotive related topics.
 
For the past two years, Jeff has been President of the North American Car Truck and Utility of the Year awards jury.  He's been one of the jurors for nearly twenty years.
 
A diverse career in broadcasting journalism has also seen Jeff cover a number of non automotive stories over the years, from political conventions to presidential inaugurations to an abundance of breaking news stories.   Jeff is also the only reporter to have visited all three sites in the immediate aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks.   He's received hundreds of awards, including the prestigious National Headliner Award and was honored fifteen different times by the Associated Press as top radio reporter in Detroit.
 
Jeff is a native of Pittsburgh, but a long time resident of Northville, Michigan.  He's married to Dr. Cheryl Kovalski, a retired Hematologist/Oncologist.  Their son, Dr. Christopher Gilbert is a neurologist, finishing up his residency in Grand Rapids.
