It’s an exciting time as we see more women making their mark in the middle market sector and we’re looking forward to celebrating these accomplishments with a champagne lunch. We’ll  honor our award winners & enjoy a fireside chat with our fantastic keynote speaker, Alaina Money-Garman. 

This event promises to be not only informative, but a wonderful occasion for celebration and networking. Bring your team, or come with friends. Men are encouraged to attend.

Keynote Speaker - Alaina Money-Garman, Garman Homes

Alaina Money-Garman is the Founder and former CEO of Garman Homes, a North Carolina-based production builder recognized for its innovative approach and commitment to community impact. Known for her award-winning blog, “Build Like a Girl,” Alaina is passionate about elevating marginalized voices in homebuilding, especially women and people of color. She is an alum of Professional Builder Magazine’s 40 Under 40 and was named one of 19 Women Shaping the Future of Raleigh by Raleigh Magazine. In 2024, Alaina was honored as Woman of the Year at the Women in Residential + Commercial Construction Conference and has served as Chair for the Residential Neighborhood Development Council for the Urban Land Institute.

Under Alaina’s leadership, Garman Homes has built nearly 2,200 homes and launched charitable initiatives like the Give It Back fund, supporting projects such as Operation Coming Home and The Farm at Penny Lane, a community for individuals facing mental health challenges. She led the build of the America at Home Study Concept Home in just 60 days during the industry’s worst supply chain crisis. Alaina’s work has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, ProBuilder, Builder Magazine, and broadcast on CNN Business and Fox Business. She is celebrated for her candid storytelling, sharing deeply personal stories of struggle and triumph to empower and inspire others. Alaina is currently writing a book about building her dream home, BoDean, and her experience creating space for her multigenerational blended family. Known for her “irrational yes” to projects that push the industry forward, Alaina inspires audiences with her message that authenticity, compassion, and bold leadership can ignite meaningful change in both business and community.

Igniting Inspiration Award Winner - Adrianna Touma, BDO USA

Adrianna Touma is a dynamic strategic connector who fuels business growth through purposeful collaboration, innovative thinking, and a strong commitment to client success. With a diverse background in consulting, event planning, marketing, client engagement, fundraising, and business development, she is known for her determination, creative drive, and ability to build meaningful relationships. She brings fresh energy to every engagement and conversation, strengthening both BDO’s market presence and the businesses the firm supports.

In her role at BDO, Adrianna specializes in aligning companies with the firm’s full breadth of Tax, Audit, and Advisory services. She leverages a deep understanding of BDO’s capabilities and an expansive internal network to thoughtfully connect clients with the advisors best positioned to deliver impactful outcomes. Adrianna supports privately held, family‑owned, PE‑backed, and publicly traded organizations at every stage of growth, consistently creating seamless, collaborative experiences marked by creativity, partnership, and forward‑thinking strategy.

Beyond her professional work, Adrianna is deeply committed to the Southeast Michigan community she calls home. A longtime fundraiser for Blood Cancer United and an active supporter of various nonprofit causes, she also contributes her time and leadership to groups such as 100 Businesses Who Care, using her platform to uplift others and champion meaningful local impact. Her dedication to service reflects her belief in contributing to something larger than herself - a value that continues to shape her leadership, purpose, and influence. Those who know Adrianna may describe her as embodying an ‘all gas, no brakes’ mindset - constantly seeking new challenges, creating value for her peers, and connecting others with meaningful opportunities and the people who can help them thrive.

Inspiring Impact Award Winner - Amy Whipple, BDO USA

Amy Whipple is a dynamic, results-driven executive who serves as BDO’s Growth & Strategy Leader for the Midwest Market. A creative solution architect and problem solver, Amy is known for uniting the right people around the right opportunities—helping clients turn complex challenges into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes. She partners closely with BDO’s leadership team and colleagues across the firm, as well as Growth & Strategy teams in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and West Michigan, to drive growth initiatives, strategic planning, and cross-functional account planning. As a natural connector, she aligns client needs with BDO specialists across Tax, Assurance, BDO Digital, and 400+ areas of consulting to deliver tailored solutions for organizations across industries and ownership structures (privately held, family-owned, PE-backed, and publicly traded). Amy also elevates BDO’s market presence through innovative events and high-impact engagement with professional organizations.

Amy’s leadership extends beyond the workplace through a longstanding commitment to philanthropy and community building. She is the co-founder of 100 Women Who Care Greater Rochester Area, which has raised and gifted $1,041,000 to 45 local nonprofits, and co-founder of 100 Businesses Who Care, which has directed $650,000 to 17 nonprofits across Southeast Michigan—both powered by 100% volunteer leadership and designed to inspire collective giving. Following her aunt’s ALS diagnosis, Amy’s family became early founding supporters of ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). Amy later served on the ALS TDI Board and, as a volunteer leader, helped raise $1.7M+ to fuel research and expand awareness.

Amy serves on the ACG Board and leads the ACG Women’s Forum, bringing women together to elevate one another, expand relationships, and increase influence within Detroit’s M&A community. She is widely respected for her integrity, reliability, and collaborative leadership style—and she lives by the Go-Giver approach, leading with generosity, trust, and a commitment to creating value for others.
