John brings to Amplex over 20 years of business experience.  As CEO, he manages the day-to-day operations of Amplex and it’s 100 employees.  Amplex is a trusted Wholesale Nursery specializing in consolidating and delivering premium, hand-selected greenery for the past 40 years.  With their Nationwide Nursery Network and decades of expertise, it simplifies single-source plant buying and they deliver a seamless, stress-free experience for landscapers and retailers across the U.S.A.   

Prior to purchasing Amplex, John was a 20 year plus veteran commercial banker in the Tampa market.  John started and led the commercial bank at BMO financing middle-market businesses across all sectors. Prior to BMO John was a corporate banker at PNC and started his career with M&I bank after going through their commercial bank training program.  

John has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fordham University where he was a four-year letterman in cross country and track.  He has been a board member of the Copperhead charities for eight years and co-chair of the Valspar PGA golf tournament for the last two.

Jami brings ME Wilson over 20 years of corporate advisory experience working with middle-market businesses across multiple sectors.  Prior to joining the firm, she spent over a decade with M&A focused boutique investment banking firms and previously held positions with accounting firms Grant Thornton and Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, and started her career at The General Electric Company.

At ME Wilson, Jami’s role is to cultivate relationships with businesses of all types in need of sound advice related to their insurance and benefits stack and to work with companies looking to complete an M&A or any other corporate finance transaction. This includes policy review diligence services and writing new policies to complete the M&A transaction.  

Jami is also the Co-Owner of Amplex. Amplex is a trusted Wholesale Nursery specializing in consolidating and delivering premium, hand-selected greenery for the past 40 years.  With their Nationwide Nursery Network and decades of expertise, it simplifies single-source plant buying and they deliver a seamless, stress-free experience for landscapers and retailers across the U.S.A. 

Jami has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Emporia State University.  She is past chair of the University of Tampa’s Board of Fellows, a member of the Financial Advisors Board, a board member of ACG, a past board member of the Entrepreneurs Organization, a founding board member of the Tampa Chapter of the AM&AA and on the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay Board. She was also named on the list of M&A business development professionals to watch.

Eric S. Almon is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Tampa and Boston offices and serves as the Executive Partner for Holland & Knight's Tampa office. Mr. Almon practices in the area of corporate law, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Mr. Almon represents companies in various corporate and securities matters. He advises companies, boards of directors and their committees in connection with securities offerings, corporate governance, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, private equity financing and general corporate matters.

Mr. Almon additionally regularly represents companies and private equity-backed businesses in acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures. He also has extensive experience in capital-raising transactions, general commercial transactions and agreements, and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Almon worked at Genentech, a biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, California.

Joseph J. Altieri is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Tampa office. Mr. Altieri practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance and general corporate matters.

Mr. Altieri counsels a wide range of clients, from local companies to multinational corporations, across various industries, such as private equity, manufacturing, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, government services and technology.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Altieri practiced law at a major international law firm in Washington, D.C., where he represented private equity sponsors as well as public and private company clients in domestic and cross-border transactions, including leveraged buyouts, carve-out acquisitions, controlling and minority investments, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and other strategic transactions across a variety of industries.
