Overview
Dale Tremblay, President & CEO at C. H. Guenther & Son
C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG) has been a family-run business for more than 160 years, and Dale Tremblay has been at the helm for nearly twenty. So the decision to sell the business to a family PC firm was not one he and the team took lightly.
Join us in San Antonio to hear Dale discuss the process of selling a family-owned business—and the challenges and emotions involved. Learn the difference between private capital and private equity, why CHG went down the PC path, and how they built a partnership with a firm and family they felt would honor the business’s long-held values.
Attendees will not only hear Dale’s story, but they’ll also learn how to manage an exit from a family business: when you know it’s time to turn things over to a professional management team, how to select the best partner for our business, and how to time and orchestrate a smooth exit.
