
Douglas Kegler graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 1990 with a B.S. in Computer Science. He began his career as a software engineer at a small medical software firm shortly after graduation and remained working in healthcare until his retirement in 2019. In 1997 he came up with the idea of an Internet-based medical billing and practice management solution for small medical practices and medical billing services. After a couple years of programming he released the first version in 1999 and raised $1M in seed funding a couple year after. Over the next 20 years he grew the company to 50 employees and $15MM in revenue with signification profits.
