Overview

Body

A core mission of ACG San Francisco is to provide educational and professional development to the M&A community as well as help M&A professionals build and expand their deal networks. One of the programs our chapter offers is ACG University (ACGU). It assists firms in grooming their up and coming young professionals but also may be of value to seasoned professionals that desire a more in-depth understanding of various aspects of the deal flow beyond their areas of specialization. ACG University is a valuable tool for future M&A deal-making. This 7-week executive education initiative will be led by some of the region's most successful and experienced M&A dealmakers. The program immerses deal professionals (representing different functions within the deal process) into the life cycle of a transaction, teaching the key elements of sourcing, valuing, financing, negotiating, structuring and closing a deal.

ACG University provides some of the following benefits:

  • Teaches a broad range of essential deal making skills and strategies through lecture and discussion to create savvy, knowledgeable and skilled dealmakers.
  • Creates cohorts to facilitate long-term deal networks among current and future M&A leaders. Each class is to include private equity and corporate buyers, investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, lenders & other M&A professionals.
  • Offers access to all the resources of ACG and the broader deal community in San Francisco through membership (1-year membership included). Graduates will also be invited to become part of Young ACG*, as appropriate.

Accepted ACG University students that are already ACG members or Young ACG members will receive a discount to ACG University.
