Mariam has over fifteen years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within business strategy, finance, R&D, and operations in the medical device and diagnostic sectors. Currently, she is Chief Business Officer of Shifamed and CEO of Atia Vision, a portfolio company of Shifamed.

Prior to Shifamed, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for deltaDOT QSTP-LLC, a joint venture between Imperial College of London and Qatar Foundation. Prior to that, she was Principal Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, where she co-founded JJ MeMs, an early stage medical microsystems incubator. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Mariam was a Research Scientist at the Center for Micro and Nano Technology at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories where she was a technical lead on the Department of Energy’s Retinal Prosthesis Project.

Mariam is an inventor on 21 issued US patents. She holds a B.S. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Biomedical engineering from University of California, Davis. She also earned dual M.B.A degrees from Columbia Business School and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Jonathan Norris

Jonathan Norris is the Managing Director in the Healthcare Practice at SVB, where he runs Business Development on the West Coast, and manages Venture Capital relationships. Jonathan helps investors understand and analyze historical and current market trends around investments and returns, and assists CEOs and C-level management with equity and debt strategy, business plans, exit comps and access to capital.

Jonathan Norris is a former litigation attorney that has been involved in Healthcare since 1999. Heavily focused on debt and equity strategy for BioPharma, Device, Dx/Tools and Digital Health, Jonathan has written numerous thought pieces detailing the flow of capital into venture healthcare (investment and fundraising) as well as M&A and IPO activity.

Will Robberts

Will is the Co-Founder and President of TesoRx Pharma. The company is developing the first pure oral Testosterone treatment in the market for treating male hypogonadism. 

His career started with KPMG in South Africa from where he moved to the London Corporate Finance team and advised on a number of landmark transactions in the technology, communications and entertainment sectors. Since moving to the United States in 2000 he has held C-suite positions where he has facilitated a number of successful exits. He was COO of AccountMate Software until the group was successfully sold to Sage Accounting. From there he joined LiveNote as President where he successfully grew the business to become the market leader and sold it to Thomson Reuters in 2006. Will left Thomson as a Vice President two years later to join Esquire Deposition Solutions as Executive Vice President. He assisted with its restructure and ultimate sale to Bayside Capital. 

Will is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, an Honors degree in Accounting as well as a Masters degree in Financial Management and Economics. He is on the Board of Raphael House where he passionately supports their efforts to assist at-risk families in the City of San Francisco.
