Matt is a Partner and joined Ridgemont Equity Partners in July 2015. He leads Ridgemont’s Portfolio Operations practice. The Portfolio Operations team collaborates with company executives across industry verticals to drive value creation initiatives. Matt’s background in consulting and operations, along with his extensive leadership experience starting in the Navy, makes him well suited to collaborate with our management teams to implement growth initiatives and enhance profit margins.
Prior to joining Ridgemont, Matt Ibbetson was the Global Purchasing Director at Lear Corporation. Matt has significant consulting experience working with numerous NA and Europe companies in strategy, sales and operations with McKinsey & Company. He also served as a nuclear submarine officer in the United States Navy. Matt earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the United Stated Naval Academy and an MBA from UCLA.
